Groundwork UK

Reading Room recently launched the new Groundwork UK website. Groundwork are an interesting organisation in that they grew from ‘ground’ up at a local level across England before an over arching head office was set up in order to coordinate activities across each region. Reading Room were tasked with developing a new website that would transform the somewhat inconsistent national and regional presence into a coordinated and consistent effort and lay down the framework for future development. We undertook a number of of strategic and research activities prior to development in order to ensure we had an accurate understanding of the organisation and the requirements before the project work commenced.

Groundwork’s primary objectives were to more effectively sell their services through the digital channel. However, Groundwork is a complex organisation in that the proposition and offering varies from region to region. In addition, much of the work they undertake is difficult to simply communicate unless it is put in context and therefore case studies were integral to communicating the value of the work Groundwork delivers.

By combining our expertise in creativity, interactivity and technology, the site is now is visually striking, impressive and interactive. This is a digital experience which ensures that visitors to the site feel excited, informed, inspired and encouraged by the work of Groundwork.
