Reading Room see further success in the Museums and Arts Sector
13/01/2012 - Manchester
Reading Room Manchester has been commissioned by the award winning Eureka! The National Children's Museum, to re-develop their online presence and assist with their future digital strategy and campaigns.
This new engagement follows Reading Room's ongoing success from 2011 working with the People's History Museum, The International Anthony Burgess Museum, The Riverside Museum and the John Rylands Library.
This unique children's museum, based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, features over 400 interactive exhibits which inspire children aged 0-11 to learn about themselves and the world around them through imagination, play and discovery.
Reading Room Manchester are delighted with the opportunity to work closely with the Eureka! team and deliver a most engaging and innovative site for the museum to mimic online the interactive experience the attraction offers in person.
The new digital presence will be visible from February with the launch of their 20th birthday “Play 20” campaign site and will be followed by the launch of the new main site later in the year.
Sophie Ballinger, Communications Specialist at Eureka! said: “We're genuinely excited to be working with Reading Room Manchester on our new website and 20th birthday campaign. We were blown away by the passion, creativity and professionalism of the Reading Room team, which made them stand out from the crowd during what was a highly competitive tender process. We're really looking forward to working together, and translating the playfulness and vibrancy of the Eureka! experience into an engaging online presence. We can't wait to see the results!”
Reading Room Manchester managing director, Garry Byrne, stated: “We're delighted to be working with Eureka! on the redesign and development of their website and supporting microsite - the museum is a unique place for children to learn through play and having been there many times over the years, I can vouch for the success at which Eureka! manages this, and the obvious passion that they bring to bear. Translating this fun and passion onto the web is going to be a lot of fun, and I know I speak for the whole team when I say we're looking forward to this one tremendously.”
He added: "We have a long standing relationship with the arts and culture sector in the North West and Eureka! is a large and exciting feature in this space - we're proud to be able to list them on our client roster and look forward to a long and exciting relationship."
