THT MyHIV site wins hat-trick of awards for innovation

25/11/2011 - Manchester

Terrence Higgins Trust’s website www.myhiv.org.uk has been recognised for its innovation, design and content in a string of recent award wins.

Rounding up a hugely successful week, the website was last night named at the Sitecore Site of the Year Awards as Category Winner for Best Not for Profit Site. The site was honoured earlier this week at the Guardian Public Services Awards for Innovation and Progress in Customer Service, whilst we’re also delighted it has been awarded Best in Class at the Interactive Media Awards with an impressive score of 481 out of 500.

The Guardian awards bash, held at the swanky Intercontinental Hotel in Park Lane, is in its eighth year and saw almost 500 teams and individuals enter for 2011, while the Interactive Media Awards were entered by over 100 candidates.

THT’s marketing director, Dominic Edwardes, who is responsible for health information, said: “There is a huge unmet need among people with HIV for information on how to manage their health condition. We really wanted to make a big change in the relationship between the patient, the condition and the clinician.”

Reading Room London Managing Director, David Burgess added: “THT are a great client and we’ve worked with them to create an innovative site with personalisation for a number of audiences through an inventive use of Sitecore technology. We’re proud of what the site has achieved so far and really pleased with the great feedback received from patients and clinicians.”

We’re delighted that the site has been acknowledged by a number of organisations this year, including:
Winner: Sitecore Site of the Year Best Not for Profit Site
Winner: Guardian Public Services Awards for Innovation and Progress in Customer Service
Winner: Stevie International Business Awards
Best in Class: Interactive Media Awards for charity
